About TRACON and its responsibilities
Traconoffice.nl is a website of the Directorate for Aviation Strategy and Resilience from the Ministry of Environment and Infrastructure of the Government of The Netherlands. TRACON is an abbreviation of Traffic Coordination of the department of International Aeropolitical Affairs and Economics.
TRACON is responsible for all applications for route permits for aviation, unless an exemption is necessary, in which case the Civil Aviation Authority the Netherlands (CAA NL) is the responsible authority. The aim is to standardize the route permit applications for aviation by providing templates to apply for route permits. Furthermore, the aim is to inform relevant parties (i.e. airlines, brokers) about route permit applications for aviation.
